What does it cost to attend SACN?

What courses transfer from my local community college? 
Transfer Guides for local community colleges are available. Students may have transcripts sent to the Student Affairs Office for an evaluation of transfer credits.

Is there any financial aid available?
SACN participates in federal and state financial aid programs and has information and assists with applications for private scholarships. Please refer to the financial aid section on the college's website.  

How can I purchase books and supplies?
Disbursement for Books and Supplies Policy

 

To provide a way for Pell  recipients and any eligible student  to purchase or obtain books and supplies no later than the 7th day of the payment period a student can use the book and supplies voucher.  If you have a credit on your account after tuition and fees have been paid, you can use the credit balance to purchase books and supplies.  After books and supplies have been purchased, any remaining balance will be issued to the student approximately two weeks after the first day of class.  To take advantage of the book and supplies voucher, please contact the Financial Aid Office. 

 

Failure to pick up the book and supply voucher form from the Financial Aid Office will be determined that you chose not to use the voucher.

Once I become an accepted student in the traditional BSN program, what supplies will I need? (Supply list does not pertain to RN-BSN students or graduate students.)

Do I have to be Catholic to attend SACN?
No. The students at SACN are from a wide variety of faiths including Christian and non-Christian.

Do I have to work at OSF Saint Anthony after graduation?
No. Although many of our graduates choose to work at OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center after graduation, the choice is left to the student. Placement information is available through the Student Affairs Office.

Can I attend part-time?
Yes, an average of 20-25% of the BSN students are part-time. However, the BSN program must be completed within five years starting with the first clinical course. 
RN-to-BSN and graduate students are almost all part-time. 

Are all the clinical experiences at OSF Saint Anthony?
No, the College has agreements with many healthcare facilities, such as Rockford Health System, SwedishAmerican Hospital, Rosecrance Centers, Walter Lawson’s Children’s Home and the Winnebago County Housing Authority. Students will attend clinical experiences in 20 to 30 different settings during the program
