The graduate program, designed for the part-time student, will lead to a Master of Science in Nursing.  It builds upon the concepts of a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and students choose their track of development:

The faculty and staff are well known for their ability to provide personal, individualized attention in a caring environment. Classes are generally held one night per week, with additional work done online.

The graduate program goals are:

• Prepare professional nurses to assume roles as nurse educators and as leaders in clinical practice
• Develop the nurse's ability to critically and accurately assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate the holistic health and illness of individuals, families, and communities
• Develop the nurse's ability to analyze and synthesize knowledge in the advancement of the nursing profession

 

A Post Master certificate is available for students who already have earned an MSN. Student-At-Large status is also available for graduate students.

N541 Evidence Based Nursing Education

Are you currently teaching or precepting fellow or future nurses or educating your patients on information they need to know?  Then this course would be beneficial for you.

A course that examines teaching/learning theories, strategies and research in education that serves as the base for nurse, patient and student education.

Class begins January 16, 2013
